COMMENTARY: LONG TERM AND SHORT TERM THINKERS- WINNING OR LOSING?
There is a class of people who stubbornly refuse to accept that there is an afterlife. Against their own interests, they go into complete DENIAL - and sadly, they completely reject the idea of 'accountability' - that on crossing over, we relive every positive and negative thing we did while alive. We know from the life reviews experienced by millions of near death experiencers that we get to experience in full clarity the effects of every action we have carried out in our life on everyone we every interacted with (see Dannion Brinkley's story below).

Those who are into systematic abuse of their power, cheating, cruelty, negative manipulation and selfishness - would not want to accept that one day they have to account for what they did during their life on earth. A common defense is, "don't bother me with the afterlife .. I'm too busy with looking after my own interests in this lifetime now." Some of these short-term thinkers even give the impression they are going to live for a thousand years!

Just a little time researching the afterlife shows us that the afterlife is not just for a few decades - as is our life on earth. To keep it within the imagination of the human mind, let's say, the afterlife is more than 20,000 years by our time. Why would anyone not try to understand the huge implications of the inevitability of the afterlife?

PROFESOR ARCHIE ROY AND TRICIA ROBERTSON completed a five year study of mediums in a project called Psychic research Involving Selected Mediums. This resulted in three published papers by the Society for Psychical Research.

The third paper showed that even in triple blind conditions a good medium can deliver relevant information to a sitter with odds against chance being a million to one.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DIE?
Stephen Thomas Ward (19 October 1912 – 3 August 1963) was an osteopath and artist who became notorious as one of the central figures in the 1963 Profumo affair, a British public scandal which profoundly affected the ruling Conservative Party government. Ward introduced the married British cabinet minister and MP John Profumo to a showgirl named Christine Keeler at a house party hosted at Lord Astor's country home, Cliveden, in the summer of 1961. Profumo's subsequent sexual relationship with Keeler and his false statement to the House of Commons regarding its nature led to Profumo's resignation. Following the Profumo scandal, Ward was charged with living off the profits of prostitution ("immoral earnings"). Ward overdosed on sleeping tablets on the last day of the trial. In this audio recorded in December 1963 (4 months after his death) he talks about his adjustment to the spirit world. He says he rides horses, swims, plays with animals. QUESTION: What happens to those who totally reject the existence of the afterlife?

Victor: This is a frequent question. One has to understand and fully accept that on crossing over - when we die, absolutely nothing happens to our beliefs, our character. The only thing that happens is the physical body is dead, but immediately the spirit-etheric body, with its mind, consciousness and memories will continue to live in the afterlife dimension. If a person has a very strong belief that there is no afterlife, that person is likely to have problems - he may continue to believe there is no afterlife IN THE AFTERLIFE DIMENSION itself! Mental confusion sets in because they know a change has taken place - and they think they're in a dream. They get confused. Apparently, it is quite a problem in the afterlife for those people who completely rejected the afterlife.

QUESTION: I get upset when there are those who do not accept the afterlife when there is so much evidence that the afterlife is real. You must get plenty of that - how do you handle it?

Victor: We must NEVER get upset if some people do not accept the afterlife. Transmitted information tells us that accepting the afterlife is a matter of being sufficiently spiritually advanced to accept the afterlife. I take the view it is their life, their journey, their problem. We are not here to evangelize. We do not try to persuade anyone. But we do have a mission to present the highly credible afterlife evidence. Remember, according to surveys, only 5% reject the afterlife. Once people truly know without doubt that there really is an afterlife they change their priorities to live a much more fulfilling life and lose all fear of death.

QUESTION on 'COLD READING': I watched this skeptic this week on television in the psychic competition claiming that mediumship can be explained by cold reading. What's your view on this skeptic Victor?

Victor: 'Cold reading' has become into fashion with skeptics because they have miserably failed with calling mediums and psychics 'frauds.' - They are also FAILING in this 'cold reading' nonsense. This 'cold-reading' refers to the allegation that the psychic-medium makes vague statements that can apply to anyone and then elicits more information from the person being read. But in the more than 40 cases I reviewed in my article PSYCHIC DETECTIVES, the mediums came up with specific information that the police, who were asking for help, did not know.
