- the debate continues: The mind/brain debate has been going for more than twenty centuries. Historically, it is one of the most important debates ever. Plato and Socrates in the classical age of Greece and Descartes before the Age of Enlightenment in Europe, promoted and accepted the duality of mind and brain.
As a psychic investigator, I state in absolute terms that there is overwhelming objective evidence that the physical brain is not the mind. The physical brain dies when the physical body dies, but the mind survives physical death.To-day, without any objective evidence, materialists claim that mind and brain are the same thing.

"DEATH BED VISIONS" according to Professors Osis and Haraldsson (pictured left), " are excellent afterlife evidence and when combined with other afterlife research, make possible a fact-based, rational and therefore reasonable belief in the life after death.” Although deathbed visions can be found in the literature and lore of all ages, they were rarely mentioned in the scientific literature until the late 1920's, when they were studied by Sir William Barrett, a professor of physics at the Royal College of Science, in Dublin. You can read online the experiences of eminent researcher Sir William in Death-Bed Visions - The Psychical Experiences of the Dying. All through this century there have been books published detailing the observations made by doctors and nurses of dying patients. Read more...

"When science begins the study of non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than it all the centuries of its experience."

Alan Ross Hugenot discusses his NDE.

A system of outside orthodox scientific knowledge which states,

1. At the death of the physical body, man continues to function as a conscious being.
2. That he functions after death in a refined spirit-body or soul which has substance and weight, and which can be seen and photographed.

3.That this soul existed within the physical body during life, and is organic, having mind, nerves, blood vessels heart etc.
4.That the soul can communicate in various ways with persons on earth both before and after death.
5. That the world in which the soul dwells after death of the body, lies immediately around the physical earth.
6. That a man while alive may leave his physical body, and by the use of his soul, explore spheres of refined physical states, commonly called the spirit world.
7. That the spirit-body can materialize and becomes solid as a human being on earth and can communicate with those around him.
(Based on work of James Hewat McKenzie1869-1929):-

James Hewat MacKenzie was a giant among afterlife investigators. After a personal encounter with a psychic medium he took a year's leave from his practice as a psychologist and psychoanalyst in 1900. He spent the next 29 years studying mediumship and experimenting with some of the greatest mediums of the early 20th century. He devoted his time to helping mediums including Gladys Osborne Leonard, Franek Kluski, Maria Silbert and Eileen J. Garrett to develop. He spent a number of years touring and lecturing in the United States both seeking and studying mediums. He also spent quite some time in the middle east, Germany, Austria, and Poland for this same purpose. He founded the British College of Psychic Science.
His book has wonderful chapters on physical mediumship and on the afterlife.

WE DO NOT BECOME 'ALL KNOWING' ON CROSSING OVER: There are people who think that when we cross over to the afterlife dimension we become 'all knowing and all spiritual.' No, not quite! After we die, we are exactly the same in character and knowledge as we were when alive. Those who have knowledge of the afterlife will go to a hugely more beautiful world than earth. We will still be recognisable as we were when alive but beauty is not based on physical features but on the brightness of the aura. We will have exactly the same memories as before, but additionally will remember the visits we made to the afterlife every night when we were asleep. At first we remain at the same level of spiritual development we were at before death - but we will all have the opportunity to continue to learn more, to become more spiritual in the afterlife dimension and to go to higher, more beautiful levels.

LIFE REVIEW: I find there are many who are not sure about what a life review is. It appears that once we cross over we will have two life reviews. The first one may happen immediately before we cross over - a kind of fast-forward of our life which takes just a few seconds. The second life-review is the most important. A spiritual guide will help you to reflect on how you did in relation to the blueprint of your life prepared before your birth. Some lessons we would have learned, others perhaps not yet. But the life review is a positive way of seeing how and why you have reached your particular spiritual stage in your soul journey.

the billionaires, the successful movie stars, the dictators, Prime Ministers- on crossing over to the afterlife? Are they given special consideration? Are there obligations on them?

Victor: It does not matter who they were on planet Earth, whether they were a big time name, like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt - or if they happened to be a billionaire or a powerful leader of a nation or religion. The critical thing would be how these privileged people related to other human beings, how much love they showed, how much unselfish help they gave. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are on record for doing enormous work for charities. There will be times when on crossing over, a really poor person would find him-herself on a higher level in the afterlife than a selfish billionaire or a selfish movie super star. These billionaires and celebrities and the politically powerful are not given special consideration at all. In fact there is a greater obligation to help the underprivileged. We judge ourselves irrespective of who we are - very wealthy or very poor, politically powerful or not. This is because every unselfish spiritual deed is immediately registered in the soul - and that helps the soul to refine. But selfishness, greed, abuse of power, cruelty also register in the soul but in a negative way.

So it does not matter who you are - it is how much love you show toward others.

Rev. Michael Cocks, an Anglican minster based in New Zealand, has created a wonderful journal for open-minded Christians. He writes in his blog:
" Because of many personal experiences, I felt motivated to try and draw the attention of clergy in the Anglican Church (and others) to this wonderful and confirming body of knowledge, and so established The Ground of Faith. I emailed invitations to read this journal to between four and five thousand Anglican clergyman in the US, UK, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Eleven years later 40 bishops and perhaps 2,000 other clergy are still accepting reminders that the next issue can now be read. 3-4,000 individuals visit our website each month. Whatever the details, at least it suggests that the bulk of Anglican clergy are not hostile to what are now termed “consciousness studies” (which includes psychic research.) Read the April edition.

1)"Bringing light where there is darkness and hope where there is despair."Indeed it does. Ian Kerry

2) It's never enough to congratulate you, Victor, and also say how important this sort of work is. By the way, I would also like to thank you for the reference about Chico Xavier, in the last issue, an individual that made my present passage make a lot of sense. Someone who was incredibly gifted and so humble at the same time. Luis Sérgio Marotta

3) For the last few days I have been depressed, thinking that perhaps there is no afterlife, perhaps it's all an illusion, wistful thinking, and religious is just a way of coercing people with platitudes about God, Jesus, and eternal reward for being good, ie being compliant. Then I received your wonderful newsletter, and realize that there are so many brilliant people who believe in or have experienced the afterlife. Also, you in particular don't have an obsession with religion that you want to force your beliefs on people. I want to thank you for all your hard work and effort to make the knowledge of the After Life available to everyone. Ann.

Kathy Cochran (pictured left) claims that this song came to her from spirit inspiration. " The melody came, words came and extreme emotion accompanied it all. I couldn't focus on anything else for the next four months. I would wake from a sound sleep around 2 a.m., tears streaming down my face, because I could feel what was being conveyed." Listen to the song online...
