COMMENTARY: CITIES IN THE AFTERLIFE
Our items on the movie "Astral City"
have raised a lot of discussion about the solidity of the afterlife and whether people have bodies, gather together in communities or simply float around in bliss.
The literature of Spiritualism ever since Swedenborg has talked about people living in houses and meeting in magnificent buildings. There are hundreds of examples through reputable mediums. Ruth Taylor reports in Witness from Beyond "Gleaming palaces and temples and beautiful cities built in elaborate form in surroundings of surpassing loveliness do exist."
We get more confirmation from out-of-body experiencers
who tell us that there are astral equivalents of every city, and indeed several versions of each city on different vibrational levels. Jurgen Ziewe who has spent more than 45 years exploring the astral world has written two brilliant books about life there, as well as making a series of videos answering questions about the afterlife.
He writes:
"There are many Astral Cities I have visited and I am in the process of creating a visual documentary of some of these in my upcoming book. Being a commercial illustrator and using the latest mediums of art, I think I have come up with some good representations of the many kinds of cities “up there”. In the near-Earth Astral levels, there is hardly any difference to what we are used to here, but that changes, even on some of the near-Earth levels, because there is such a diversity in energies".
"So far I have created nearly two hundred images, spanning all levels of the Astral world, from the darkest region to the most sublime, many in photo real quality, which I am keen to share before my third Afterlife book is even finished, all based or derived from personal experience. We have so many written testimonies, so many words, but so few documentary-style pictures. My urge to fill this gap has been with me all my life and is compelling and irresistible".
