COMMENTARY: REMEMBERING A COURAGEOUS AFTERLIFE RESEARCHER Last week it was four years since Father Francois Brune went home to spirit. Born in 1931, Father Brune was an expert in electronic voice phenomena (EVP) and instrumental transcommunication (ITC) and all areas of afterlife evidence.
The 87-year-old Catholic priest, who held degrees in Latin, Greek and Philosophy and spoke several languages, wrote several books on afterlife communication. He was a close friend of all the European pioneers of ITC including Marcello Bacci, Dr. Ernst Senkowski, and Dr. Anabela Cardoso.
He claimed that he had in his possession thousands of accounts from deceased persons who have communicated with their loved ones through a variety of modern electronic devices. He wrote: "The dead speak and can be taped. I have no doubt about the survival of life after death. Therefore, the day I die shall be the loveliest one of my life". Whereas the majority of conservative Catholic priests are, in his words, "persuaded that all attempts at communication with the Beyond are condemned by the Church", Father Brune was constantly emphasizing that this is simply not true. He was always keen to point out that the Vatican had been involved with the early development of EVP (see video below).
DAN DRASIN'S UPCOMING BOOK Many of us here are fans of media producer, filmmaker, photographer, audio producer, and writer Dan Drasin. He worked with Tim Coleman on the most comprehensive video about the Scole experiment: the original "Directors Cut", of which is titled "SCOLE: THE AFTERLIFE EXPERIMENT". (2012). Then he produced and directed "Calling Earth"(2015-7), [again with Tim Coleman]. It is undoubtedly the best exposition of electronic communication with the deceased. Here is a 5-minute preview. These films and the additional footage not included are even more precious now that many of the scientists and co-investigators involved have transitioned.
Dan has now written a fabulous book "A New Science of the Afterlife" based on his thirty years of investigation and friendship with many of the leading mediums and investigators in the afterlife field. Due out in June, it is now available for pre-order.

Dr. Bruce Lipton explains how quantum physics has shown us that what we perceive as solid matter is an illusion composed of light and energy. He says that our bodies are like a television set: when the set is broken, people can no longer see the program. But the program itself is not affected and can be seen on a new television set.
COMMUNICATING WITH OUR LOVED ONES IN SPIRIT USING EVP
Vicki Talbott is a retired TESOL/Linguistics professor. When her only child Braeden died in a kayaking accident in 2000, they both already knew about the afterlife and EVP. So it was not a surprise to Vicki when she started receiving messages from Braeden on her answerphone. What did surprise her, however, was that Braeden had already been coming through to a group of mothers experimenting with EVP. SWEDENBORG'S GREATEST DISCOVERY Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772) was a brilliant scientist, inventor, and scholar, who holds a special place in Spiritualism. Considered one of the three smartest people who ever lived, he began having out-of-body experiences at the age of 55. For the next 27 years, he explored the other dimensions. He wrote 18 books explaining that there are many different levels of existence where people live very pleasant and interesting lives, just as real as ours on Earth. This was a huge shock to Protestant Christianity which taught that after death it was either heaven sitting on a cloud or the fires of hell. Swedenborg is said to have appeared to many of the pioneers of Spiritualism and Spiritism, and, together with Benjamin Franklin, was the force behind the coming of Spiritualism in 1848. A PROFOUND NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE
One of the interesting things about Anke Evertz's near-death experience is that when her clothing caught alight she was catapulted out of her body and watched the incident from two metres away. This is something that we often hear from near-death experiencers. She soon realised that she could then hear what all the doctors were thinking and could put her arms through walls. THE BETTY BOOKS Following an experience with a Ouija board in 1918, Betty White, wife of the famous American novelist, Stewart Edward White, discovered she had mediumistic gifts and subsequently began receiving messages from a group of discarnate beings who called themselves the Invisibles. Initially, the messages came via automatic writing, and later while Betty was in an entranced state.
The messages amounted to hundreds of thousands of words that dealt with life’s big questions such as our purpose here and the nature of life after physical death.
Stewart compiled several books from the messages including, The Betty Book (1937) and Across the Unknown(1939).
After Betty transitioned in 1939, she was in a unique position to confirm what she had earlier written. She regularly came through another medium and gave Stewart information about the afterlife until he joined her in 1946. The first book after she passed was The Unobstructed Universe (1940) followed by The Road I Know(1942), The Stars Are Still There (1946), and With Folded Wings, which was delivered to the publisher shortly before White’s death and published in 1947.
