COMMENTARY: HOW CAN I BOOK A SITTING WITH A DIRECT VOICE MEDIUM? People often ask us, how they can book an appointment for a sitting with a direct voice medium like Leslie Flint.
In our opinion, having a sustained conversation with a loved one through direct voice mediumship is the most convincing evidence for the afterlife, and it is a tragedy that this form of mediumship has become so rare.
There are very few direct voice mediums in the world today, and most demonstrate only for members of their home circle and sometimes for invited guests. This is partly for the safety of the medium and partly because of the need to create exactly the right conditions among the sitters for it to work. There's a handful of physical mediums who do give public demonstrations but not all of them facilitate reunions. And there are no guarantees that reunions will be on the agenda on a particular night.
If a grieving person is desperate to talk with a particular person they may be better advised to have a private reading with a recommended mental medium. They can also benefit from joining a community like Forever Family Foundation or Helping Parents Heal where they can get support from others, attend gatherings and conferences and be inspired by others' success in recognising signs and making contacts.

THE ARTHUR FINDLAY COLLEGE WAS FOUNDED ON PHYSICAL MEDIUMSHIP Witnessing direct voice mediumship with John Sloan changed Arthur FIndlay's life and led to his passion for physical mediumship, particularly direct voice. His brilliant book "On The Edge of the Etheric" sets out his experiences. When he came through Leslie Flint in direct voice in 1975 he made it clear that his wish, when he bequeathed his home Stanstead Hall to the Spiritualists National Union, was that it be used for the development of physical mediumship as well as mental. "It was Gordon Higginson [principal of the Arthur Findlay College from 1979 to 1993] who kept alive physical mediumship within the SNU by promoting courses on physical mediumship and demonstrating such at Stansted Hall and occasionally elsewhere. Many in the movement had no time for physical phenomena in spite of the fact that this was how modern Spiritualism started. It was Gordon and his staunch band of tutors who for decades ignored this mentality by providing regular courses at Stansted on physical mediumship".

Roy and Christine Wandless were reunited with their two children, John and Valerie, who had died from cystic fibrosis. As a result they donated over two million pounds to the JV Trust which generously supported urgent repairs to the building Stanstead Hall at a time that the College was threatened with closure. WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS THAT MAKE A MEDIUM? Professor Sylvia Hart-Wright published her research on this question in the Journal of Spirituality & Paranormal Studies.
"Sensitivity to psi appears to run in families. Intensely sensitive people often come from households with a history of psi or a strong belief in its reality and/or a history of multiple births such as twins. Mounting evidence also suggests that intensely psychic adults are particularly likely to have suffered severe trauma in their first 10-12 years. In general, women tend to be more psychic than men. The person least likely to be sensitive to psi is a man who had a generally pleasant childhood, is not the product of a multiple birth, and comes from a family with no history of psychic experiences or belief in psychic powers. In the special case of after-death communication, people with limited psychic gifts may nonetheless sense the presence of departed loved ones with whom they have an especially strong bond".
