OPRAH AND DOCTOR BRUCE GREYSON EXPLORE NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCES
This recent episode of "The Oprah Podcast" features Dr. Bruce Greyson, one of the world's leading experts on near-death experiences. As a scientist and physician, Dr. Greyson has been studying these fascinating phenomena for decades. He and Oprah dive deep into near-death encounters and speak with people who have undergone their own transformative episodes, including Oscar-nominated actor Jeremy Renner, who described his event as harrowing but also exhilaratingly peaceful.
CONSCIOUSNESS BEYOND DEATH:
NEW AND OLD LIGHT ON NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCES One of our favourite afterlife researchers, Michael Tymn, has put together a not-to-be-missed compact book. Consciousness Beyond Death: New and Old Light on Near-Death Experiences brings together reports of some of the most interesting and evidential Near-Death experiences that he has examined over the years. He also gives an excellent summary of the research and answers the objections raised by the materialists. At the end of the book, he has included as an epilogue "10 Lessons Not Offered in Sunday School or Science 101".
VALIDATING MEDIUMS
When it comes to validating mental mediums, there is a long history of ingenious tests from book tests, to proxy sittings. Dr. Julie Beischel worked with Dr. Gary Schwartz and others to do modern testing of the accuracy of nineteen mediums in "The Afterlife Experiments". Mediums who assisted included (in order of working with them) Laurie Campbell, John Edward, Suzanne Northrop, George Anderson, Anne Gehmen, George Dalzell, Allison Dubois, Catherine Yunt, Mary Ann Morgan, Janet Mayer, Christopher Robinson, Traci Bray, Sally Own, Mary Occhino, Debbie Martin, Doreen Molloy, Sally Morgan, Robert Hansen and Angelina Diana. The video below, made in 1999, shows Professor Schwartz conducting experiments with some well-known mediums.

A MOTHER USES A PENDULUM TO START COMMUNICATION WITH HER SON IN SPIRIT
Carol Morgan learned to connect with her son, Mikey, who died at age 20. She was upbeat and committed, and dedicated a lot of time to documenting the signs that she received from him. After she was shown by a leading medium how to use a pendulum, she practiced every day for more than two years. Her communication with her son became telepathic, and Carol was able to publish an excellent book of Mikey's descriptions of the afterlife that were totally unlike Carol's previous Catholic beliefs.

INDUCED AFTER-DEATH COMMUNICATION
For 20 years, Dr. Allan Botkin had treated patients at a Veterans Administration Hospital in Chicago. He utilized EMDR (eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing), a widely used and proven method of treating PTSD. In 1995, he discovered that it could also facilitate direct communication with the deceased. For his remaining 8 years at the Vet Hospital, Botkin continued using IADC therapy, in secret. Dr. Botkin moved into private practice and successfully treated over 3,000 patients, many of whom reported that their intense grieving subsided in one or two sessions, and the fear of death no longer existed. Most clients felt they were in the presence of the person who had died and could talk directly to them. Some people saw the person, heard their voice, felt their touch, or could smell them.

"Most people take the song to be about a young guy telling his girl that he's crossing the Atlantic to be with her. In fact, the song's got nothing to do with romance or ships; it's an account of mankind's spiritual odyssey through life on his way to freedom and fulfillment with the Supreme Being."
