COMMENTARY: STAYING GROUNDED IN TIMES OF CHANGE
The message coming from many spiritual teachers and traditions is that the best way to thrive in difficult times is to use what is happening as an opportunity for spiritual growth. They all point to the importance of staying grounded and focusing on our spiritual practice, prayer and meditation. When we are calm and centered and focused on the eternal, we are in a much better position to stay resourceful and connected with our "inner guidance system" and so make the best long-term decisions.

RECOGNITION OF LOVED ONES ON CROSSING OVER
How will my child recognize me when I cross over - he died thirty years ago when he was just five years old.
We are informed, directly from the afterlife, that there will not be a problem. First, the child would have been looked after by relatives or specialists from the afterlife and given all the love normally given to a child. The child would be given education as if he/she was on earth and brought to visit you. But just as important, it has to be remembered that we go out of our physical body when we sleep and visit our loved ones in the afterlife. So the parents could maintain a close relationship with the child until they cross over.

Louise Hamlin was a solicitor and then a law fellow and lecturer at Cambridge University. In 2006, she moved down to Dorset to start a new life, but suddenly and unexpectedly her husband died.
