COMMENTARY: PERSONAL EXPERIENCE CREATES CERTAINTY The need to openly attack those who hold a different belief from our own seems to be an indication of spiritual immaturity and uncertainty. It is a need shared by both closed-minded skeptics and religious fundamentalists.
When it comes to the afterlife, the people who are the most confident of their position are those who have had a personal experience of direct afterlife contact which they have verified with evidence. For some, it is a near-death or out-of-body experience. For others, it is an evidential reading with a medium, or experience sitting in a physical mediumship circle. It may be a dream visit with a loved one or an after-death contact or even the first time they get a response to a question through EVP. And some have seen spirit since they were children.
These people usually don't need to try to convince or impress others or take part in arguments. Like Dr. Kübler-Ross they come into a place of certainty about the afterlife where, like her, they can say:
"We are not here to convince other people. I share what I know and how I verified it to my satisfaction, and those who can hear will hear, and those who do not hear will just be pleasantly surprised when they make their own transition."
CHERYL PAGE SHARES HOW PERSONAL EXPERIENCES CONVINCED HER OF THE AFTERLIFE
Cheryl Page is a scientifically-minded clinical researcher. Before July 2017, mediumship and speaking to spirits was the furthest thing from her mind or reality. Scientist Dr. Erlendur Haraldsson from Iceland, conducted a survey based on the question, “Have you ever been aware of the presence of a deceased person?”
He then followed up with 450 people who answered "yes". The great majority (67%) said that they had visual contact. The cause of death was known and verified by checking official records for about 80 percent of the cases; in 30 percent of these cases, the person had died violently. The percentage of violent deaths in the study was almost four times higher than the percentage of death by violence in Iceland during the relevant period. Paul's presentation is based on the revelations of his book Eyes of an Angel. LIFE AFTER DEATH - WHY THE GROWING INTEREST?
Medical doctor Elisa Medhurst's blog on Huffington Post asks this question. Apart from the number of baby boomers getting old, she suggests that there are three main reasons:
1) The decline of the power of dogmatic religions.
2) Quantum science is challenging outdated materialism.
3) "Now, the Internet helps us create micro-communities where we can share those “paranormal” experiences in a safe, anonymous place free from scorn...even physicians have become emboldened enough to share the “paranormal” events they’ve seen throughout their careers during the dying process of their patients. MIKE MARABLE AND JURGEN ZIEWE TALK ABOUT OUT-OF-BODY EXPERIENCES Mike Marable and Jurgen Ziewe have both been exploring the astral world through out-of-body experiences for many years and enjoy getting validation by comparing notes. A PROMISE MADE SHOULD BE A PROMISE KEPT
People who seldom keep their word, or keep it only if it suits them, are of little stature spiritually.
The Universal Spiritual Brother & Sisterhood (USB) emphasizes that one’s word should be one’s bond and that those who fail to exert every effort to keep promises freely made do not do so with impunity in the long run. They may think they can “get away with it,” and they may appear to succeed. However, to break one’s word or repudiate an agreement freely and deliberately made, except for very good reason or highly mitigating circumstances, is to incur a debt that must be paid.

We all know this song - it was a huge hit - but how many understand its message that our crossed-over loved ones come to visit us in dreams.
