COMMENTARY: WHY THE ATHEISTS’ RATIONALE AGAINST THE ‘FIRST CAUSE’ IS WRONG: I was doing some reading last night and came across a book by David Mills - 'The Atheist Universe'. Mills was trying to rebut the existence of ‘God’on behalf of the atheists.

But when tackling the Thomas Aquinas’ argument that ‘God’ is the first Cause, Mills said, “if everything except God requires a cause, then the ‘First Cause’ argument becomes … logically impermissible.” Wrong! Why?

1. Thomas Aquinas entered into evidence a legitimate ‘qualified’ statement to the argument of Cause and Effect: that ‘God WAS the First Cause’.
2. Directly linked to this is the fact that an ‘intelligent’ effect had to have had an ‘intelligent’ cause, i.e. GRAVITY is an 'intelligent' energy effect which had to come from an ‘intelligent’ cause. You can't have 'gravity' without energy.
3. Order in the universe, an ‘intelligent’ effect had to have an intelligent cause. Gravity plays a huge part in producing order in the universe. If there is 'order', there has to be intelligent design..
4. The power, the force, the energy which generates evolution is an intelligently-designed effect …
5. The process of ‘growth’ anywhere, is an intelligent effect from an intelligent cause – has to be!
6. The perfection of the structure of an atom is an intelligent effect from an intelligent cause. And there are thousands of other examples of intelligent effects which had to come from an intelligent cause. Nature on its own is not intelligent.
7. Every intelligent effect mentioned above has energy for its sustenance and maintenance.There is energy in the evolution-process. Whilst energy cannot be destroyed - energy can be transformed. 'Intelligent effects' are intelligently- -designed energy. Some experts say that the activity of energy had no beginning, it will be modified over time in many ways but it will have not end. 'Chance' does not and cannot explain 'order' in the universe.
8. Scientific observation of 'consciousness'. Scientists - such as Profs. Aspect, Dalibard, Roger and even Dr.David Bohm claim that the universe has 'consciousness'. If there is consciousness there inevitably is energy - because you cannot have consciousness without energy. Everything in the universe - and on planet Earth is ' intelligently -designed energy.' There are those who argue that the power/order behind the universe's intelligent-designed energy is the First Cause - 'God.'
9. Implied in Mills' argument that the thousands and millions of intelligent effects we can observe ourselves came about by ‘chance’. That is not acceptable and can never be acceptable.
10. Statisticians will tell you 'NO' - ‘You can't use 'chance' as a reasonable explanation for a cumulative succession of things, each with a one in a billion billion probability of coming by chance. Chance’ alone will not and cannot explain 'intelligent effects.'

This does NOT mean that 'God' is the traditional religious God - and someone with a long white beard in the sky 'controlling traffic' on Earth. . .Accordingly, the atheists' argument against the First Cause can never be accepted in logic, in professional debate and in science. The 'First Cause' adequately explains the existence of a 'POWER' people call 'God.'

SCIENCE AND THE AFTERLIFE: PHYSICIST AND OBE RESEARCHER DR TOM CAMPBELL

QUESTION: That was a very interesting article you had on Prof Richard Dawkins. Why do you think he uses Darwin's evolution to promote his atheism .. seems unfair. Any views?

Victor: That's my point: Dawkins is using evolution to support his personal beliefs. But Darwin never stated that evolution is an argument against the afterlife or against the paranormal or against God. Dawkins thinks he can fool people by selecting only the evidence from evolution which supports his atheism and his anti-afterlife and anti-paranormal. He ignored the most critical evidence - evidence which will show he is wrong. I now add another reason why Dawkins is wrong: scientists - Profs. Aspect, Dabister, Roger and even Dr David Bohm now are stating that electrons and subatomic particles have consciousness. This is very important because that would mean that if the atoms have and can relate consciousness to other atoms, then one can say our Earth, our solar system, the whole universe has 'consciousness'. A legitimate conclusion is that if there is consciousness, there is 'vibrating energy' - which means all the universe is really vibrating energy. If that is the case, then there has to be 'connection' with everything- then time and space would be irrelevant. Conclusion: energy, which no one can create or destroy but transform had no beginning and will have no end. Something to think about and something that has huge consequences to our re-thinking about how the universe started. My view, which would demolish Dawkins' thinking, is that the universe is a continuous transforming energy.

BRITISH POLICE ALLEGE A PSYCHIC MILSED THEM: A reader sent a link to an article where British police complained that they had spend a huge amount of time and effort following clues from a psychic that ultimately turned out to be false. To assess the matter with true judicial balance, what has to be ascertained first are the answers to the following questions: This is because it appears the police did not handle the matter professionally. Also, when the police do not give details of the medium, there will inevitably be suspicion something has been concocted for reasons we do not know: We want to hear to psychics' version of events:

1. Which psychic are the police talking about – everything should be transparent. Those so called psychic/s should be identified.
2, Did these psychics have a successful track record of identifying criminals?
3. What evidence was there to show the psychics were genuine, were skilful, were reliable?
4 Was the advice to the police qualified in anyway and were the leads clear, vague, symbolic?
5. Who interpreted the leads, the psychics or the police?
6. Was the police officer in charge had experience dealing with psychics?
7. Was any attempt made by the police before money was spent on the information given to check with other psychics?


QUESTION: WHEN THEY DIE WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO CHRISTIAN FUNDAMENTALISTS – like BILLY GRAHAM and others who deeply believe that on crossing over Jesus will be there to meet them OR that according to the Bible they will go to sleep until they hear Gabriel's trumpet wake them up to join Jesus? Victor: According to highly credible relatively recently transmitted information from the other side - including the information transmitted by an ex-Catholic Mons. Hugh Benson from the afterlife - (see all ANTHONY BORGIA books) - those Christians with an open mind will have normal transmission to the realm of the Light. BUT some Christians with a powerfully strong belief that Jesus will be there in person to meet them or that they will go into a deep ‘sleep’ until Gabriel wakes them up could find themselves in big trouble for eons of time. Those hard core Fundamentalists, such as Billy Graham and others like him, with fixed inflexible and rigid ideas are likely to also get caught in a ‘hollow heaven’ – a place in the afterlife exclusively for them – thinking they are the only ones in ‘heaven’. Information transmitted from the afterlife says that they even have Christian services in the afterlife as they had them when on earth, there in heaven!!! Rescue teams visit these place to try to help these Christians caught in the ‘hollow heaven’, but those Christians with deeply entrenched beliefs are likely to stay in that condition for eons of time – hundreds even thousands of years.
