CAN WE COMMUNICATE WITH OUR LOVED ONES IN THE AFTERLIFE? Unlike some Eastern religions, Spiritualism has always emphasised the reality of personal survival and the fact that it is possible to communicate with people who have died.
Can you imagine having a two-way conversation with your 'dead' partner where they speak in their own voice for half an hour? You talk about people you both know and things that are happening in both your lives. Their voice is loud and clear and independent of the medium and can be heard by the other people in the room. The conversation can even be tape-recorded.
Sadly we do not know of any direct voice mediums offering sittings to members of the public at the moment. But everyone in the world can listen to recorded conversations between hundreds of people in spirit and their living loved ones on the Leslie Flint Trust website. Listening to these recordings stuns people into realising that life after death is a reality and communication with our loved ones and guides is a very real possibility.
DINSHAW AND ANNI NANJI
Dr. Dinshaw Nanji was an Indian university lecturer who lived in Sweden. His wife Anni had died five years previously, and he was desperate to contact her so he traveled to London in 1971 to sit with Leslie Flint, a famous direct voice medium who died in 1994. After that first session, he continued to travel to London twice a year for further sessions for the next 12 years until he was too frail to travel.
Fortunately, we have more than 66 remarkable tapes of their sessions. They talk in casual conversation like any married couple. Anni tells her husband that she now looks about 20 years old and that he will also be that age when he joins her. She says he comes to visit her very often when he is asleep and cannot understand that he does not remember. Dr. Nanji said: "This wasn't someone impersonating my wife, it was my dead wife who knew so many things unknown to the medium, Leslie Flint."

RICHARD MARTINI LEARNED HOW TO COMMUNICATE
Richard Martini became interested in the afterlife after his friend, Luana Anders, died in his arms. Just after she passed, she began appearing in his dreams and he could hear her voice in his apartment. She looked much younger but it was clearly her. This reunion began a more than twenty-year exploration of the afterlife, life between lives and reincarnation, and life planning.
Richard hosts an interesting podcast with Luana Anders (communicating through a medium) as his co-host.
INSTRUMENTAL TRANSCOMMUNICATION Hans F. Kennis from the Netherlands experimented with EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) from 1973 with good results. From 2008 onwards he experimented with photographing ITC images in water, combined with simultaneous EVP. On his excellent website ITC EXPERIMENTS, he gives details of 33 scientists who studied ITC and were convinced of its reality. He also outlines 3 cases where he was able to get evidential pictures of people, two from centuries past and one known to him, combined with EVP verification of their identity: 1. Robert de Bar 2. REVOLUTIONARY INSTRUMENTAL TRANS-COMMUNICATION
According to Mark Macy’s blog, Macy Afterlife: The Beacon, scientists working for the International Network for Instrumental Transcommunication (INIT) received from the afterlife:
• pictures of people and places in the afterlife on television that either appeared clearly on the screen and remained for at least several frames or which built up steadily into a reasonably clear picture over multiple frames.
• text and/or picture files from people in the afterlife which appeared in computer memory or were planted on disk or similar recordable media.
• text and/or images of people and places in the afterlife by way of fax messages.
Such contacts, which were received by European experimenters over a 10-year period and by researchers worldwide from 1995 through 1997, gave us a clear picture of life after death.

A NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCER WHO SAW THE PROCESS OF PLANNING HER LIFE
Sometimes when near-death experiencers express reluctance to return to the life they had just left, they are told that they had chosen the circumstances of that life themselves. When they continue to say "that's impossible" some claim to have been shown the equivalent of a video clip of a meeting where they agreed to their life plan. Betty Guadagno had a spiritually transformative experience in March 2019. She was shown that she had chosen the experiences of being an orphan after both her parents suicided, being a drug addicted sex worker, and being an atheist.
THE EARTH-LIKE ASTRAL WORLD Back in 1961, an out-of-body experiencer described his excursions into the astral world (the lower regions of the afterlife) in a book that is almost identical in detail to accounts by Swedenborg and those in "Life in the World Unseen" dictated by Mons. Hugh Benson to Anthony Borgia. He says that it takes time for a person's astral body to synchronise with the vibration of a particular level which may explain why some out-of-body experiencers feel that they don't have a body.
